Information used for a booking
Groomsy may process your name, verified phone number, service address, selected services, appointment time, payment reference, preference answers, per-service product selections, support messages and customer-provided review media.
Who sees your preferences
Appointment preferences are shared only with the professional selected for that booking after your consent. Customer-stated preferences remain separate from internal professional service notes. Sensitive questions are optional and include a “Prefer not to say” choice.
Payment data
PayU should collect and process payment credentials. Groomsy should store only the references and status information required to reconcile the booking, refund and payout—not raw card details.
Location and chat
Location should be requested only when needed for service-area checks or an active appointment. Booking chat and location-sharing access must be limited to the relevant customer, professional and authorised support staff.
How we measure the site
Groomsy uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how this site is used — which pages people open, where they lose their way, and which steps of a booking are difficult. Clarity also records how a page was used, such as clicks and scrolling, so a confusing screen can be found and fixed.
These measurements are about pages and behaviour, not about identifying you. Text you type is masked in Clarity recordings, and neither tool receives your name, address, phone number or payment details. Both set cookies in your browser; blocking cookies, or using your browser’s “do not track” or tracking-protection settings, stops them without affecting your booking.
Your choices
The production notice must provide a verified contact route for access, correction, deletion and consent withdrawal requests, along with a legally reviewed retention schedule and grievance contact.
